Define your Values
- Make a list of key traits or values your business upholds. Qualities such as “reliability”, “responsiveness”, and “creativity” are good examples.
- Use this list when preparing external communications and utilize these words.
Fight for Position
- Each email presents a chance to establish your place in the market. Give customers a clear idea of who you are and what you do.
- Create a style for your emails. Utilize certain logos, illustrations, and colors.
- Differentiate your company by specifying the manner in which its goods and services are superior to the competition. Use customer testimonials whenever possible
- Be consistent. Don’t change your look unnecessarily.
Early and Often
- Remember that your email recipients don’t have to open your message at all. And they can close it at any time.
- Strike quickly. Establish a relationship with the customer soon after they’ve registered. Provide relevant information.
- Engage customers repeatedly. Use compelling, quick-hitting communication and offers.
- Avoid elaborate, slow-loading images and flash designs. You may lose your crowd if they have to wait.
Take the long view
- Be sure to uphold your long-term goals and values in every communication. Even when promoting one-time offers or events. Don’t sell out your brand with a careless email. It takes years to build a strong brand, only days for one to come undone. Nurture your brand at every opportunity and you will see the rewards.
